Reconciliation

We all witness the savagery of living
Majesty in the purity of killing

Morality limits and our hunger
Maybe like the words of one S. Yunger

What can justice justify
At the expense of those who defy

While those obey
Bailing in the heat of the day the wraps of hay

Some call it a fray
While the monsters never delay

Am I the hero or the terror
Look at the monsters in the mirror

Do I dare smile back
At what this man might unpack

Or is it the legend I believe
That will deliver an awaited reprieve

Do I even dare to care
Or I am lost in the mirror in my own stare

We perhaps will not ever reconcile
What we lost in our beautiful denial

Am I now on trial
For the sins of survival?
